The Lurana Shelter Society is a foundation that has been in operation since 1993. They provide women and children fleeing domestic violence with a first-stage emergency shelter. The Shelter offers a safe, confidential location, crisis intervention, food, clothing, transportation, and child support for those in need. As about 80% of domestic violence situations go unreported, the reality is that these services are much needed.
