We are thrilled to be welcoming MilkCrate’s sous Chef Luke Carmont to the Culinary Stage at the 2019 Fall Edmonton Woman’s Show. He’s going to cooking up a delicious Turkey Dumpling Stew (so perfect for fall and the week after Thanksgiving!) and we can’t wait to learn how we can make this dish at home… and to try a sample of his creation at the Culinary Stage! Stage times will be released shortly!
A bit more about Chef Luke Carmont and MilkCrate:
MilkCrate is one of Edmonton’s newest food joints – right in the heart of the Ice District. The brainchild of Chef Steven Brochu, formerly of Chartier out in Beautmont, this is the next progression of Chef Brochu’s life long connection with food! Born and raised in Edmonton, Steve knew from a young age that family and food are tightly connected, and was fascinated by the important relationship they have to each other. It’s something that drew him to pursue his career in hospitality, and something that continues to drive him today. His food philosophy is simple: make it tasty and “can’t/won’t” is not an option.
Recent addition is sous Chef Luke Carmont. He was born in small-town New Brunswick and got his start at a Boston Pizza in Fredericton. After working many kitchens out east, he made the decision to go west and join the Joey Group. He completed his apprenticeship with them, rising through the ranks before leaving as sous chef. New to the MilkCrate Team, he’s looking forward to advancing, learning, and experiencing under the MilkCrate name!
