We’re super-excited to announce one of our guest speakers for the 2015 Fall Edmonton Woman’s Show – Derrick Levasseur from Big Brother 16, brought to you by Knoxville’s Tavern!

Derrick Levasseur (born February 3, 1984), 30, is a police officer from Central Falls, Rhode Island.

Derrick went to Mitchell College on a baseball scholarship before becoming a police officer at the age of twenty. While working as an undercover Detective, Derrick went back to school and received his Bachelors Degree from Roger Williams University in Criminal Justice and his Masters Degree from Salve Regina University in Business Management.
Derrick was hired as a police officer at the age of 20 (The youngest in the city’s history) and has been there for 11 years. During that time, he has worked in the Detective Division, investigating crimes, ranging from motor vehicle theft to murder. Derrick has also worked as an undercover Detective in the Special Investigations Unit, posing as a college student, a pimp, and a drug dealer, just to name a few.
At the age of twenty-three, Derrick was involved an a critical incident where he fatally shot a man who was attempting to stab him with a knife. He received the “Medal of Valor” for his actions. Instead of taking an early pension, he came back to work and has been promoted through the ranks where he now holds the title of Sergeant of the Patrol Division.
Derrick was selected to compete on CBS’s hit series, “Big Brother”, where he was eventually crowned the winner after beating out fifteen other house guests. Derrick is regarded as one of the greatest players to have ever played the game. He is the only player out of all past winners to have won the game without ever being nominated. He also currently holds the record for the highest total earnings ($575,000) of any house guest in Big Brother History.
