As a long time and proud supporter of the Lurana Shelter Society, the Edmonton Woman’s Show is thrilled to raise funds and awareness for their good cause. At this year’s Fall Edmonton Woman’s Show, they will be doing a Cash Calendar promotion! For only $10, ticket holders have 30 chances to win cash prizes ranging from $25 to $300. Draws will take place daily throughout the month of November – Alberta Family Violence Prevention Month. Calendars will be available for purchase at the Lurana Shelter Booth. They will also be playing a “toonie drop” game.
The Lurana Shelter Society, a foundation that provides women and children fleeing domestic violence with a first-stage emergency shelter. The Shelter offers a safe, confidential location, immediate crisis intervention, food, clothing, transportation, and child support, and has been operating since 1993. As about 80% of domestic violence situations go unreported, the reality is that these services are very needed.
At this year’s Fall Edmonton Woman’s Show, the Lurana Shelter will have their own booth, with a raffle calendar and more. Be sure to stop by to support an excellent cause.
