We are so pleased to announce that Kristen Traverse will be coming to the Fall Edmonton Woman’s Show. She is an incredible woman who will be sharing her story of suffering a stroke at the age of 31 and having to relearn basic things like speech and writing. As a mother of two young boys with a career in nursing, losing the ability to communicate was a devastating blow. It was a hard, painstaking journey, but she has now relearned how to express herself and will be speaking at the Edmonton Woman’s Show to share her powerful, inspiring story.
She is a Registered Nurse with background in Hemodialysis, and Chronic Disease Education, as well as a Certified Exercise Therapist and Fitness Trainer. She considers her most important role that of a Mom of two beloved, rambunctious boys. Kristen lives with her husband, Craig and her children, Caleb (age 6) and Randy (age 2) on an acreage outside of Kitscoty, Alberta. For fun, she has been known to do any sport imaginable, read to an excessive amount, write about things that she holds sacred, and spend time traveling with her family.
We highly recommend checking out her blog – particularly the post “Did I Say I Love You Enough to Last a Lifetime“
